What is RAM, and why does it matter?
Have you ever wondered what is RAM, or have you ever wondered why does your computer works slower when you have a lot of programs open? The answer is RAM, well not exactly RAM...Lets start with that, that RAM means Random Access Memories, and that it is a form of temporary computer storage, which tablets and phones also use.
The more programs you have open, the more RAM you use. Lets suppose that RAM is a water bucket, which can hold a certain amount of water (memory), which means that the more RAM you have, the more things you can have open at the same time without the computer freezing. The common types of RAM computers are 2GB,4GB,8GB,16GB, ant the mighty 64GB. Smartphones usually use around 2-4GB of RAM, because they don't do a lot of hard operations, but gamers and desighners usually use around 16-32GB, because they like to have a lot of programs open at the same time.
To install more RAM you need to buy either a pair, or two pairs of the same GB RAM, and you need to carefully plug it into your sockets, removing your old RAM. You can only do it with Personal computers, because laptops have integrated RAM. To check how to properly install RAM check out a video tutorial on Youtube, there are plenty of them!
